OK, a few things here I need clarifying. I hope you can help :/. I apologise if I'm being trivial.

図書館雑誌みます
1. What does this sentence actually mean? Does it mean, "Does one read magazines at the library?" or something like "Will you read a magazine at the library?"?

ええ, みます / え, みません
2. Now what does this mean? I understand the words, but now why they are used. Is it just a very natural thing to respond to a question with a verb with the positive or negative form of it?

3. If I wanted to add time to a sentence, for example,
図書館雑誌み ます, would I simply place the time before it, without any particles? Following topic-time-place-object-verb, the example sentence is 私は今日図書館日本語勉強うします-- but there is no "に". Why is that? I hope that made sense.

4.
三千九百万円--- now, this confuses me. I'm not quite sure what it says. Three thousand nine hundred 万 (10,000)s yen? That doesn't make so much sense. I thought I'd gotten numbers down, but obviously not. I think I've learnt them wrong because now that I'm trying the kanji exercises in the book, none of it makes sense-- I can't make heads or tails of it. I'm confused about things like 百 and coming before 万. I thought it was done differently. Can someone please shed some light on this?

I'm going to start teaching one of my friends the Japanese I know. I'm self-taught, so when I learnt, I just... went along with it and looked up anything I didn't understand. What I want to know is, is there anything I should make sure to do, are there any tips you have, is there anything you've experienced that I shouldn't do, blah blah. I've made sure my friend knows it's a big commitment. I'll probably more than likely be teaching him on the basis of the Genki books.

Thanks!

I'm going to put a list of resources that are relevant to the Genki books on the profile page. I'm sure you guys know some between you, can you suggest some, please? : D

(If you discover any at quite a later date than this, feel free to include it in another post)

I've currently got Genki I and am finding it very useful and fine by itself but I haven't got the workbook for it. Would you guys recommend I bought it? If I did, I'd have to wait until after Christmas, but how helpful is it? (I'm a self-studyer, by the way)
